Ape House by Sara Gruen

Ape House is a fast-paced combination of two stories in one.  It is the story of Isabel, a primatologist and the language labs bonobos.  Isabel develops a rapport with the bonobos and has two-way conversations with them in ASL.  The bonobos lives are shattered when gross commercialism symbolized by “Ape House” jerks them from their home in the language lab.  Continue reading
